Getting to Adam through Family Search
Genealogy is addictive, so I have to take it in small doses.
In my genealogical lineage on my father’s side, I have gotten a couple of dozen different lines back to Adam on Family Search. I got my patriarchal line, along with each disputed father, from me back to Adam, son to father all the way. I didn’t have to jump off into the mothers anywhere along the way. That was a unique and fun experience.
I kept a record of it all within this book, so that other people can restore it whenever it gets deleted or destroyed.
The content on Family Search is constantly being deleted and destroyed by angry birds, but I got each one of these lines working back to Adam on Family Search before I walked away from it.
I’m now building them in private on Ancestry.com where they can’t be deleted by the angry birds.
It’s a horrible experience to have half your work deleted, but Family Search feels dynamic and alive in a way that nothing else does. I braved the sharks and the angry birds in order to experience and participate in the dynamo that is Family Search; but, I also learned to back up everything in Ancestry.com because you have no idea when it’s going to be deleted on Family Search.
I’m an excellent researcher, and in the end, of necessity, I mastered both programs and sort of learned how to survive the predators on Family Search.
